Obey Clothing
Obey Clothing was started in 2000 by street artist Shepard Fairey and Mike Ternosky. The original Obey campaign was started by Fairey in 1989, and was already recognised globally. The range of Obey t-shirts and apparel that followed was a natural progression. The original graphic, which is now recognised as the icon of Obey was created from a stencil based on legendary wrestler Andre the Giant. This symbol can now be seen at various places all around the globe.
Obey continues to spread the message of the street art phenomenon, merging great designs and pieces with Shepard's art and influences, to create a unique collection. With limited edition t-shirt designs and collaborations, alongside a great range of jackets, denims and other apparel, Obey Clothing has become one of the most recognisable streetwear brands around today. |
