Carhartt Clothing was founded in Michigan in 1889 as one of the original heritage workwear brands. Unlike Carhartt streetwear, the European arm of the Carhartt brand, they were originally dedicated to providing the highest quality workwear and apparel. Over 100 years later, distribution of Carhartt finally began wholesale in Europe, and began to be adapted significantly to suit a fashion conscious European market.
Always keeping the brands heritage firmly in mind, Carhartt Europe has since expanded and grown its own following. Carhartt jackets, jeans and t-shirts are now as recognisable as the overalls and workwear they were originally known for. The profile of the brand has also become huge, with Carhartt now boasting its own skate and BMX teams, and regularly supporting many outdoor sports events. They have also supported and collaborated with a variety of artists on their range and other outside projects. |
